Lego and Harry Potter have teamed up again! This time there are six Lego Harry Potter sets and an new Lego Harry Potter Video Game.

Lego and Traveller’s Tales have done it again. Their latest Lego themed game will be Harry Potter Years 1-4. Most of you I’m sure have played either the Lego Star Wars, Batman or Indiana Jones games and know how fun they are to play. This will appeal to Lego and Harry Potter fans who have been longing for a game, myself included!

Also, I am happy to learn that finally after years of drought the Lego Harry Potter theme will have new sets! Lego had been releasing Harry Potter sets for all the movies up until the Order of the Phoenix. It is said that the darker, more mature themes of the movies and the PG-13 rating made Lego back off of the franchise for fear that its target 9-12 year olds demographic would not be seeing the films. So they skipped over making sets for Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince. Now with the Deathly Hallows coming out soon and the new Lego Harry Potter video game, Lego are releasing sets once more.

There are six sets announced so far all coming out in October 2010.

4736 Freeing Dobby – 73 pieces $9.99. This is a remake of 4731. It comes with 3 minifigs: Harry Potter, Dobby and Lucius Malfoy. For those of you wanting a Lego 1×2 plate with a decal of Harry’s sock on it…you got your wish. hehe.

4737 Quidditch Match – 153 pieces $19.99. Includes 5 minifigs: Harry Potter, Madam Hooch, Oliver Wood, Draco Malfoy and Marcus Flint. Notice how the box art shown at the toy fair has four Snapes on the cover. Hmm, guess they were just place holders for the real minifigs. The packaging looks great by the way, but they are using the character photos of Harry, Ron and Hermione from the last movie, Half Blood Prince. So I wonder if this was just a mock-up for the toy fair and the real boxes released in the fall will feature images associated with the upcoming movie The Deathly Hallows? We shall see.

The other image below shows the completed set out of the box with the actual minifigs.

4738 Hagrid’s Hut 442 pieces $39.99. It includes 4 minifigs: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Rubeus Hagrid. Also there’s an odd looking Aragog spider. This set also has a light up brick for Hagrid’s fire place. That’s probably one of the reasons its more expensive.

4840 The Burrow 568 pieces $59.99. Includes 7 minifigs: Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Harry Potter, Fenrir Greyback and Bellatrix Lestrange. This looks like the must have set of all the 2010 Harry Potter offerings. It’s taken from a scene from Half Blood Prince as I guess a concession to fans who were dissapointed that no Lego Harry Potter sets were made for it until now. It’s also the only set that is not a remake of a previous one. It comes with 7 minifigs, some never seen before including Jenny Weasley. It gives you a lot of pieces for the price too.

4841 Hogwarts Express 646 pieces and 79.99 5 minifigs Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Ginny Weasley, and for the first time Luna Lovegood! This one is pretty much a remake of the 4758 set, except this one comes with the flying car too. I’ve really been hoping for another release of this set.

4842 Hogwarts Castle 1290 pieces $119.99. Includes 11 minifigs: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Professor McGonagall, Argus Filch, Professor Flitwick, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Snape, two Dementors, a Knight, Lord Voldemort. This is probably the second must have of the new 2010 Lego Harry Potter sets. Even though it is a remake of the previous Hogwarts Castle sets (4709, 4757 and 5378) it does come with more minifigs and is the largest Lego Harry Potter set to date. It could have easily been set at a 149.99 price but they managed to set it at 119.99. So not a bad deal.

oh,well thanks!and I think the burrow set should come with green fire (like the movie) but they should have made more sets although they might continue the series.and another thing i noticed was that these set are all from different movies so thats a sign they probably will make more.
