“Cubed” – Leading a Continuous Improvement Team


I volunteered to lead a team to address the opportunity to improve the promotional flyer review process by removing some non-value added steps. I named my team “Cubed” in reference to the desired maximum goal of 3 rounds of review. My team members and I used Lean Six Sigma tools to find ways of improving our promotions review process. I developed a Charter, SIPOC, CTQ and other Lean Six Sigma documents. Based on data collected we started to analyze potential root causes to problems in the review process. I made regular presentation report outs to the entire marketing team communicating our progress and findings. The results are still being monitored but already showing progress.
