Vendor Managed Inventory Brochure – Casting with Stock Art

My marketing managers and I were tasked with developing a brochure that would help our Lawson Products representatives explain the value proposition of Lawson/Kent Managed Inventory to customers. My unique challenge in this assignment was to find a way to communicate these ideas visually and without the help of original photography. I wanted to show a human face to the representatives and so I looked on a stock art site for images of the same model to “cast in the part.” I had drawn up a story board of the different expressions and poses needed so it took some time to find the right looking models that also had those poses and expressions that I needed already available. I also made good use of existing digital assets. For the inside of the spread I took inspiration from before and after videos. I used black and white on top for the “before” section and then full color in the “after” section below to highlight the improved customer experience. The resulting brochure helped tell a clear story of how the company’s services benefit customers and how it sets the company apart from competitors. We have received some very positive feedback and look forward to continued success with the brochure.
